Lynne Shallard has been coming to Covenant with her family since it was first formed and works in our Church office where she carries out whatever admin duties are required, endeavouring to help the ministries of the Church with resources and practical help.
She enjoys meeting people who come on site and working together with the school and preschool as they share the property.
Covenant subscribes to a Presbyterian form of government, therefore we have several men who have been ordained to the office of Elder in accordance with the Scriptures.
Together with Logan they form the Session which provides spiritual care and leadership for the Church.
Rod has been married to Cherry since 1972 and they have two adult daughters. Their three grandchildren live in Australia. In the 1970’s they served as missionaries in Papua New Guinea. After returning to NZ he worked as a missions executive for twelve years before returning to teaching, the profession he originally trained in. He retired from teaching in 2012. He was ordained as an elder in 1984 and served as Session Clerk for a number of years. He works part time at Auckland Airport as an Airfield Safety Officer which enables him to indulge his passion for civil aviation. In his spare time he enjoys reading non-fiction and watching documentaries.
In order to meet the physical needs of the body of Christ we have several Deacons who have been ordained to this office in accordance with the Scriptures.
The Deacons can be contacted through the Church Office.
